Preparing for the next 100 years
The area by East Ave. in Easton has been prone to flooding during moderate to heavy rainstorms. As storms grow more frequent and intense, work has been done around Easton to improve storm drain infrastructure that is over 100 years old.
This project sees over 2,100ft of new, larger storm drain pipe installed along Rails to Trails (parallel with East Ave.) from Dover St. all the way to the Tanyard Branch, a tributary of the Tred Avon River.
The new pipe will run adjacent to the older structure which will remain in place to further improve to route storm water out of the streets and into the Tanyard Branch more quickly.
