We’re ready! Join us for the East End Small Area Plan Public Hearing

10 March 2026

We’re ready! Join us for the East End Small Area Plan public hearing.

Thank you again for all the energy and ideas you brought to our planning process and four-day charrette. Your input was the heartbeat of this process and we couldn't have done it without you!

We are excited to share that the draft East End Small Area Plan is now ready for a public hearing with the Planning Commission. We would love to see you there to help move the East End vision forward:

  • When: Thursday, March 26, 2026, 1:00 p.m.
  • Where: Easton Town Council Chambers (14 S. Harrison Street, 2nd Floor)

If you have questions or need special accommodations for the meeting, please call our office at (410) 822-1943.

How to review the Plan

You can find the full draft on the Engage Easton Website or stop by the Town P&Z office to see a printed copy. As a reminder, this plan identifies six detailed focus areas with strategies to:

  • Revitalize the East End by making Dover Street a community destination and an inviting, vibrant corridor
  • Improve safety for walkers and bicyclists
  • Identify creative and new uses for the legacy properties along Rails to Trails

Can't make it in person?

You can still make your voice heard! The meeting will be livestreamed, and written comments are welcome anytime before the hearing via:

  • Mail: Easton Planning Commission c/o Miguel Salinas, Planning and Zoning Director, P.O. Box 520, Easton, MD 21601.

If you miss this one, don't worry - the Town Council will also hold a public hearing once the Planning Commission forwards its recommendation.

We've come a long way since the original 1997 plan, and progress is already showing. We're looking forward to this next chapter for the East End with you!
